What to do is a personal decision. Some do cull their flock, wait a period of time and start over with new birds. Some choose to continue with the flock they have, treat as needed to try to control symptoms, and let them live out their lives. Once all are gone, then again start over with new, healthy birds. Bringing in any new birds, or chicks, will expose them as well. If your plan was to breed, then I would definitely put that on hold until these are gone, or you will just be continually dealing with it. Mycoplasma is probably the most common respiratory disease. It can be brought in by new birds, wild birds, from hatching eggs from infected parents, or on clothing, shoes or equipment. The "good" thing is that it's a short lived virus in the environment so once all sick birds are gone, your property is ok after a relatively short period of time.
