Chickens Eating my Storm Door!

I would have never imagined that chickens would eat a storm door but here is the photo.



Rain had finally stopped for a few days so a new storm door gets installed today.

That can't be good for them.
Or at least I don't think...

They are acting like normal, they have been picking at it from time to time. Been waiting a week for the rains to stop so I could change it out.

Are you sure that they're eating it? Or are they just pecking it off?

I put a Styrofoam bowl in my coop once (it had some treats in it). I came back later and most of it was "eaten". I looked around & saw bits of the bowl all over the coop, turns out they were just tearing pieces off. They had been cooped up for a few days and they were all very bored. Just a thought
