Chickens Eating my Storm Door!

I used some of that foam strip stuff on my coop doors to make it more winterized...well, the chickens ate it. Birds are crazy. Eating the storm door does not surprise me.

My hens started pecking at the side of my shed. It had a piece of wood nailed to it and it started to rot a little when I removed the wood they just started pecking at this one spot. They haven't gotten through but all the wood treatment has been pecked off. When I retreated it I turned my back for second and my white arucana had her head head in the pot drinking the treatment!! Luckily it was water based and didn't seem to harm her but she had brown face for the rest of summer!!! Chickens?!?!

I've had them dunk into my wine glass if I'm not paying attention. I'm beginning to be less surprised at what chickens will eat with this thread...

Mine ate a couple of brand new bee hives that were made out of cypress and freshly painted. Silly equines. There is no limit to the things that a horse won't crib, from your hand to a stall door. They just develop the habit and away they go.
