Chickens eating Rabbits food

Orange yolks are caused by using corn as a feed base, chickens getting lots of green grass or in the case of the rabbit pellets from the alfalfa used to make the rabbit pellets.

Good information. I'm wanting to try rabbits again when i find them, and i was wondering if i could house them together. I plan to build racks to hang the hutches on, with chicken wire to keep the birds from roosting on the bunnies. Not that it matters so much, but i feel like it would stress them.

if you want greens in the winter time, get some kiddy pools and flip them upside down with grass seeds under them. once a month or so, flip the pools over and you will find fresh grass growing for them. the pools act like mini green houses. try this mix https://www.groworganic.com/omega-3-chicken-forage-blend-irrigated.html it works great for me. it does help to scratch up the soil with a rake first before putting out seeds. throw in some lentil beans, tasty herb seeds, etc too.
