I have lost 3 cochins .... think they got into the rat poison...
live in a orchard and a few days ago the threw out rat poison
under the trees... that evening a hen died...she looked asleep
then the next day a large rooster was on the hen house floor
when I went to let them out, alive but in bad shape followed by
another rooster all tucked up...and he is genera;;y out and about
being a bossing old thing...
not knowing what to do (at different times of course) I gave each
rooster some vitamin K....crushed charcoal.... and water...
thought at one point the last rooster might make it as I was
giving him the charcoal 15 - 20 minutes intervals then water...
well, these things did not work so can anyone suggest or
tell me what I should be doing in case another gets sick ???
