I noticed one of my hens a few weeks ago making a gurgling sound when drinking. I didn't think anything of it as I figured it was the water. Now I have 9 more hens and my rooster that are gurgling constantly. Anyone have an idea what is wrong and what I can do to fix it? My egg production has decreased as well since.

HELP!!!

Calm down Just take the chickens one at a time. Hold them upside down right hand holding the legs in the air and the left hand supporting their breast/ crop. They will vomit water, that is the goal. Do this to every chicken and post back imediately if 1. they dont vomit 2. their vomit is frothey or any other than clear. Keep us updated

I probably sound like a broken record here, but I would check for gapeworms. Especially if this is happening after they drink. Gapeworms get in their throat, and that could be what's causing the gurgling sound. And if one has them, as you said they are all gurgling, they all would need to be wormed. You would need to use a pea-sized dose of a horse wormer called ivermectin. I think that is the spelling, but your local Agway, or feedstore would know. JMHO
