Chickens in Slow Motion

Yeah, we have a dog. I can try and get that for you. :)

Are Writing Spiders those big round ones with the stripey orange legs? Those guys are out in force around here and just love putting webs in walkways. :he It's like an obstacle course to get to the duck yard! And on that note...

YES. I feel like they started early. So, so many spiders out right now! :sick
I have yellow ones like these http://baddestmotherever.com/2014/10/15/the-writing-spider/
Also have the big round orange ones - I don't know if they are writing spiders - I sort of lump all big yellow/orange striped spiders into one category/under one name:D

Lol, yes the chickens were so nosey, they would jump up on the sides of the pool. Now the ducks have a new pool, because the chickens deflated that one. :lau

Haha, naughty chickens! Glad your duckies have a new pool to play in, though! :D

Oh, yeah, I've seen those. I think those are the ones we just call 'garden spiders'. These are the ones that are always putting their webs in the way around here: http://bugoftheweek.com/blog/2017/8/31/big-spider-webs-part-1-spotted-orbweaver-ineoscona-cruciferai I'm not 100% sure that's the exact species, but they look like that and they are called orb weavers colloquially.

ooohh!!! I have those Orb Weavers too! One of them has a large web from my porch across the path in my garden...I always worry that fat orange body will drop on me:hmm

Yes, exactly! They're so big and fat and put their webs in the worst possible locations! I have 3 that build webs around the gate to the duck yard; one inside, one outside, and one between the fence post and the duck coop. Every night for weeks I've had to destroy their webs to get through because I can't open that gate otherwise, and still they insist on building there! :he Plus about a million others in various other spots around the house. One of them built a web so that it was over a bush at the corner of our driveway turn-around spot, with one looooong strand going about 20 feet to the tree above the chicken coop. I'm not even sure how she pulled that one off!

Do you guys know what kind of spider this is?
