Apparently the crickets don't like the rain either, though the chicks are pretty happy they are looking for shelter!

Yes the birds must be feasting on all the bugs crawling in to get out of the rain!

We get much of our rains from June through late September, literally monsoons like you have daily. We've been in a severe drought for over a decade, less and less moisture falls in summer and winter snows. No monsoons this summer yet.
