Hello i have a flock of 50+ chickens and 10 turkeys.
They keep getting and eye infecting like it puffs up really bad and i give them apple cider vinegar and it goes down or goes away but even after that they sound really bad and get skinny and dont want to eat as much. I have tried everything i can think for them. They get fed alot! It has been like this for a month or so and it keeps going to different chickens or turkeys.
There eyes get this slimy stuff that comes out.

I give the vetRX, la200, i even tried corid. None if its helping.

I get about 4 eggs a day from all of them and most of them are a year old so its not age.

Is there anyway this could just be a respatory infecting and is cureable?

Any suggestions would be very helpful

Sounds like Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG), which also goes by the name of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD). It is a chronic lifelong bacterial disease of poultry, affecting turkeys, ducks, chickens, quail, peafowl, pheasants, geese, etc. It can go from a mild to severe infection, death can occur, but it’s unlikely. You can read more about MG/CRD here— https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oz-jemqYjmVj0wEUj4gAI5VQ6idPotUU/view?usp=sharing

It also sounds like Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILT) as this viral infection can mimic MG very well. Some birds may or may not cough/sneeze up the bloody mucus. ILT is caused by a virus, more specifically, Gallid Alphaherpesvirus 1 (GaHV-1). It is a very infectious chronic lifelong disease of chickens and turkeys, rarely affecting quail, pheasants and peafowl. ILT is a moderate to severe disease, that can cause a high mortality rate in older or younger birds. This disease cannot be treated or cured and it will make birds carriers for life. If you’re in the US, you’ve probably heard that the highly pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) is going around and it can cause respiratory symptoms. It wouldn’t hurt to read or get testing done for AI, especially if you free-range your flock. However, in the end, I always suggest getting testing done before treating because then you may be able to find a treatment plan. If you’re in the US, you can get testing done at your State of Agriculture or state’s extension. In the articles that I posted above, there are links to online labs, such as RAL or Zoologix for you to get testing done at also.

I have read alot about those. But is there any way it can just be a respatory infection and is cureable?

No respiratory infection is curable. You can treat symptoms but they will always be carriers and can have break outs throughout their life. You will never know for sure unless you send 1 off to be tested. For now I would make sure to close up your flock, no birds in or out, including hatching eggs.

What are their coop and run dimensions? Too many birds in a too small space can cause respiratory issues also.
