chickenstock 2 for oxford maine- August 15th

I emailed Bill Morrison and asked him if the testers are surposed to wear the Bio-Security gowns and booties when entering a flock. His response was, Yes they should be wearing them. And Yes the needles are cleaned in Alcohol after each use. So just a heads up if someone comes to test your birds.

De nutting a piglet is nothing. A little cut, a pinch, and some super glue and your all done. It normal up keep to raising pigs.

ok, this is my last hope.....I have some true araucana(can make a trio and have some extra tufted roos for someone that wants a cool looking bird), some la fleche (trio), an ancona trio. I also have a white silkie roo, a black silkie roo, a red(?) showgirl roo and a buff silkie roo(with incorrect comb, he also had a rough winter on his toes). I also have 3 golden cuckoo marans cockerals, don't care if you eat them just don't tell me....
I had these all placed with different pet homes but they ALL fell through. Is anyone in Maine interested in these. They are FREE, all that I ask is the tufted/rumpless true araucana don't get eaten.....
Please help me

Why some people want boars intact and some want them cut. So the guy is playing it smart and offering both to the public. Its a service just like a farrier working on a horse. If you want to use children as an excuse maybe young children shouldn't be around the swap. It all in how you raise your child and explain these things to them. My 3 year old saw our pigs get de nutted and had no problem with it.

Are your araucana bantam or standard? What color? How old? I may be interested in a trio... I am close to you (work in westbrook).

actually they may be taken. They are Lf, but lf araucana are still not that big. I will let you know if the other person changes their mind...

I also have a wheaten ameraucana roo that hatched last summer, I feel bad cuz his brother won't let him have any of the action

I had a bad brooder set up and he seemed to have broken his toes when he was a chick(his brother only broke 1 of his toes). He gets along perfectly fine and DID NOT hatch this way. I feel bad and fixed the brooder but the damage was done. He is very good to the girls even though his brother won't let him mount them. He finds them treats and will even cover them with his wings when it is raining(dh thought this was adorable). I really don't want him eaten but feel bad and think he deserves his own girls. I love this breed as they have never shown any aggression to my kids, ever...
here he is
