Chicks all arrived dead

I'm sorry about your chicks. I have chicks coming from Ideal next week :/ Hopefully they do everything they need to, and get your next batch of chicks to you safe and sound...

So does Ideal not use the heating pouches in their boxes??? I've only ordered from MPC/Meyer and those heat pouches have always still been warm when I opened my boxes.
So sorry that happened to you (and to those poor babies)...that's always a fear of mine.

Sorry for your loss. Got an order from them in late winter a few years ago and they didn't need a heat pack despite being in the 30's/40's during their trip to WA since it was a full sized order. All made it in my case. They probably got put in a cold area of the truck.

I got my order in last week one arrived dead and then within 72 hours 6 more died. So far the rest are doing fine

Sorry about your chicks, I've ordered from Ideal before and they are very good at re-funding you or sending new chicks. Once they leave the hatchery, theres nothing Ideal can do to ensure they arrive safely.

So sorry you lost your chicks, I've ordered several times from Ideal with out any problems, I think that the chick shipments can be hard on the babies and this time of the year makes it even worse with the cold and all, but Ideal is really good at taking care of issues. I hope you can get it all worked out.
