Chicks all arrived dead

I believe it is most likely the time of year. You couldn't pay me to order shipped chicks in January. Mail trucks are not climate-controlled, and day-old baby chicks are exposed to the most horrendous of temperatures. Hopefully, by waiting until spring, your next shipment will be much more successful.

I received my order from Ideal yesterday; 10 d'uccles (plus the packing peanuts). All are doing well. I've only ordered d'uccles from Ideal (several times) and even though tiny all have done well.

I am sorry for your loss. I would be devistated. I hope you try again though. i ordered 22 chicks from Ideal and I can't believe how healthy and wonderful these chicks (now 3 months old) are. Something happened with the shipping.I wish you much joy with your next brood.

I have ordered chicks from Ideal in January (but I live in California). Only 1 dead on that shipment. I bet it was too cold for your babies... sorry and good luck on the next batch.
