Sorry, we decided to let them stay at my SIL's to adjust before bringing to my place. We ended up losing 4 chicks. The rest are very lively! Sorry about the quality, I used my cell phone to take the picts. We ordered them from Ideal. I think I'll need help with identifying the roosters... Hopefully I got one in there at least! I had one that ran right at my hand and he looked bigger than the rest as well, so I'm hoping he's one. They're Salmon Faverolles... anyone know when you can really tell the males from females? The wing feathes all seem about the same color.

I have a cam in the dog kennel I redirected on to the ckicks at night, so I can keep a eye on them without getting the dogs riled up.

I think this will be too small as they grow. The brooder is a old 2'x2' rabbit cage I lined with 1/2" thick cardboard on the bottoms and 4" up on the sides. Then I lined the outside with some cheap reflective car windshield sun screens (used 2 @ 2$ a peice). It's a toasty 95 deg and they're spread all over, but not hanging out in the coolest spot or warmest... so I think they're doing well.

The brooder is sitting on a raised tub (we havent' finished the kennel).. so I may convert the tub to a brooder when the chicks start getting bigger.

It doesn't take too long to be able to tell the boys from the girls. they all look alike for awhile with black on their wings then suddenly the males get more black and the females start to get the salmon colored feathers. Then they look like this:

How old are the chicks in the fist set of picts? Mine are a week old tomorrow... and right now they all look the same..... getting discouraged!!! Will need to know soon so I can get them in on the 2nd order coming in.
