I just got my first hatch of the year. I have Rhode Island reds, austrolops, americaunas, and game chickens in this hatch. For some reason four of the five americaunas were born with their legs spread wide and they can't really walk around. Trying to figure out what's going on with these chicks any ideas?

After digging around I read a bit on spraddle leg. I made hobbles for them with a straw and rubber bands. Is spraddle leg genetic. I just thought it was weird that the only chicks that were affected by it were the americaunas. Is it possible that their momma had a vitamin deficiency and passed it along to the chicks?
