Chicks coming! Who else is anxiously waiting?

@Weeg how are your seramas doing? One more day to go! I think my hatch was early because of the heat wave here.
Thanks for reminding me to update haha!
They’re supposed to hatch tomorrow according to the seller. She said these eggs commonly hatch on day 19 for her, so I raised humidity to between 50-60 yesterday, and 60-70 today counting on them hatching early.
I still have my 1 in the incubator, doing great and going strong!
I removed 2 of Sunnys eggs, so she’s now sitting on 6. I hope all 7 hatch, I can really only keep 4 but that gives me wiggle room with roosters. I’ll keep you posted on how things go! I’m very very excited!

I have quail eggs in the incubator and several chicks in the brooder and some with a broody. Definitely exciting! Cant wait to recruit more quail. By the time the quail need the brooder, the chicks should be old enough to go out with the weather we are getting so far. I will be candling soon.
We love pics if you can get any good ones. I’m horrible at taking candling pics. Lol! I couldn’t take a good one to save my chicks life. 😂

Picking up my chicks in 2 weeks! Waiting is so hard! ❤️
It’s so hard! Today felt so long knowing they were hatching tomorrow. I kept checking the bator like j thought something would happen.
The day before my first clutch hatched, I walked into Coastal snd almost bought 2 Turkey poult’s (is poult correct? Lol!) to raise for meat. Then I didn’t because I realized I didn’t really want the Turkeys, I just wanted my eggs to hatch hahahaha!

Oh my goodness! I can see the start of an external pip over the air cell!!! Go baby go! I'll pictures when the pip is big enough to be visible! :wee:woot:celebrate
Hatching never gets less exciting! Humidity is at 63%, occasionally spiking to 65%. I would prefer it to be higher, but with this dry weather I can't seem to get it up. Oh well, 63 will have to do.

Yay!!! Congrats! I candled the quail eggs yesterday. Only half the batch though as some were added in later. The ones i candled were all fertile, one may have died early as it seems ofd...hoping for a good hatch either way. Pictures:
