Chicks coming! Who else is anxiously waiting?

She's so sweet! She looks like such a great broody. What breed is she incubating?
Ok, you can laugh if you want, but I’m not telling anybody until/unless they hatch. Kind of a superstitious thing maybe, and kind of keeping it a fun little surprise for my guys (who are also on here sometimes).

There will definitely be post-hatch pictures if Berry girl is successful.

Can't wait to see what they are! We'll take a few guesses once we get pics. :D

Ok, here we go, the big reveal — with a special message for @EmmaRainboe :

Fault!!

Well, maybe a little bit mine... oall my fault, really.

Back story— someone keeps posting pictures of gorgeous fluffy face birds, so when Strawberry went broody, I was inspired to put some random Craigslist green eggs under her. Supposedly EEs crossed with Ameraucana, but there are a lot of feathered legs in there. Not all the faces are very fluffy, but they’re all adorable!

Strawberry has hatched 5 chicks so far (the last one is still damp) and the last egg is zipping away as I type. There is no better incubator than a chicken’s tush!

Oh my goodness!!! So cute! 😍

And, Sorry not sorry. 🤪

Feel free to share photos! Candling photos are great as well. Congrats on your broody!
My broody is due to hatch her chicks next Thursday! I'm very excited. I got 15 Serama eggs shipped from Flordia, (quite a long flight which is the reason I ordered so many.) One is doing well in the bator after placing 7 in the NR360, and 8 under my broody. Sunshine, (Sunny, the broody hen) lost 2 which I removed yesterday, and I'll do a double check candle on all of mine tomorrow to confirm quitters.
I hope that my one survives, and if he does I'll probably put him under the broody with the rest, as long as she excepts him. What about your chicks? Are they hatching soon, arriving in the mail? Share the excitement, and who doesn't love pictures!
I have quail eggs in the incubator and several chicks in the brooder and some with a broody. Definitely exciting! Cant wait to recruit more quail. By the time the quail need the brooder, the chicks should be old enough to go out with the weather we are getting so far. I will be candling soon.
