chicks die each day help

So i hatched 6 chicks and they are now a week old. I only have 3 left. 4 days ago they were all healthy, but i came home and found one dead,yesterday there was a chick fine in the morning but died 4 hours later, and this morning one chick was great jumping but i came home from work and found it dead. I give them vitamins and electrolytes in the water everyday and feed them medicated chick feed. I dont know whats the matter. Any adivce would be great as my eggs are hatching this week too

My first question is how is your brooder set-up, Heat, temp, etc? Do any have a pasty butt(poop all over their rear)? What type bedding are you using?

Yes, my question also. What were you providing as a heat source for the chicks to warm as they lost body heat through their thin down layer? Chicks die from hypothermia when their environment drops below their body temperature of around 38-40C.

i use wood shaves as bedding and a 100w bulb and the temp is 85F

That would be adequate heat. What were you feeding them? Sometimes chick feed has been contaminated and should not have been sold to the customer. Other times people have mistakenly fed chicks food inappropriate for their limited digestive development or failed to provide grit.

In rare instances, the water supply was contaminated, not so badly it harmed humans, but it was bad enough to kill tiny chicks.

I am going to post a pic that belongs to one of the members on here----is your set-up ""similar"" to this----heat on one end, food and water on the other end? Do you feed ANYTHING other than factory chick feed?

Use only one supplement in their water. not both vitamins and electrolytes. if you're feeding electrolytes , give them a second waterer with just plain water in it. that way they have something else to drink than plain salt water. there is salt in the electrolytes. okay, they seem healthy. maybe just put the electrolytes in the water ...give them a second plain waterer. forget the vitamins and give them some fresh Okios Triple Zero Yogurt vanilla. it's very pure for babies. leave in Brooder about 5-10 minutes, then take it out so that it doesn't spoil under the lamp.
I think these chicks are overloaded with supplements in their water and may just be getting too much salt.

no u got it wrong the bag is vitamins and eletrolytes powder that is mixed thats how i bought it but it worked for my last 2 batches and none died and are 7 to 8 months old

my brooder is a cardboard box and the light is at the end of the brooder and water and feed in the end with a little christmas light bulb that is only 15w above the feed and water but its temp goes mostly to 47F

the feed i buy is the best feed in my country its mostly used for lambs and chicks, and i used it with my last batch and its very good as it grows them very nice, i use it mostly for broiler chicken and brahma and cochins and aseels chicks
