Chicks due today and only one hatched is already dead!

Well, we looked in and the hen was pecking at the chick. It had a big open wound on its back. We removed the chick and set up an incubator. I tried putting a little antibiotic ointment on the wound. Anybody have ideas how best to take care of something like this?
We also removed the hen and let the other broody hen sit on the eggs.

Just keep doing what you’re doing, keep the chick warm and in a clean environment to prevent infection. If you can get your hands on some sav-a-chick that might help boost the chicks energy levels.
