Hello,
My husband and I are first time chicken owners. We were told it should be super easy to raise chicks and we’d have minimal problems. We first bought 6 from a local farm store that the girl working picked out and within the first night one died. Then from then on we had a chick die every night until we had only two left. They were mostly silkies but we had other breeds too. We read a lot online about how we need a small group of chicks to help their overall livelihood so about three weeks ago we bought 9 more chicks from a local farm. Everything has been great with this new batch plus our two survivors. We haven’t had any issues until this morning. We change our chicks bedding every other day, our tank temperature is 90 degrees nearly most of the day (It may drop alittle when we have to clean the cage or change the bulb from the day light to the night light), we clean the water dispenser and food bowl 1-2 times a day depending on how much bedding they get in it, and we make sure their tank is well ventilated but with no drafts of cold air. I thought we took care of everything but today we found one lethargic and with it’s eyes closed. From last time we had issues I learned to give them drops of electrolyte water with sugar in it. This time I also added colloidal silver and VetRX for chicks. It helped give her a boost of energy and we kept her away from the others so she wouldn’t get trampled but then a hour later my husband went to check and she past away siting up. I honestly can’t take losing more of these chicks. We've been working so hard to take care of them and now I’m just worried it’s going to happen again where we loose them. Can anyone give me some advice on why it might happen or if it’s a regular thing that happens? I’m at a loss. We live in Arizona so it is extremely hot outside right now and we have kept them indoors so we can monitor their temperature better. Thanks for your help!

3 week old chicks don't need 90* temps all the time, they need to be able to get away from it. Is there a place that's cooler they can escape to?
Are they getting enough ventilation? What kind of bulb are you using? What are feeding them? If you've given anything but crumble they need grit. Were they vaccinated? Any blood in their poop? Diarrhea? Any other symptoms like sneezing, discharge from eyes or nostrils?

Can you post a pic of the brooder?
