Ok total tally. I had 5 chicks hatch total. 4 of my own and 1 from shipped eggs. the 1 from shipped eggs looks to be a grey.

I did poke a hole in the other eggs to see if there was life but, not one of the others made it.

Some people do the float test but I use Pete55's method of poking a small whole in the fat end and peer inside with a flash light. That way I know for sure. The thought of throwing a precious little life out is unbearable

aww your so sweet!!!! just keep me posted with some peepie pics!!! I am in the search of some fbcm eggs, and I already have my dark brahma eggs in sight---deb! and some ameraucanas-hopefully will get another round on the ones i just tried to hatch...

You should try Glenda - Charm1704 her packing and shipping are exquisite and her chicks are incredible!!! If she doesn't have any auctions up you could just PM her

My lone little survivor, Navidad, finished hatching out on Dec 26 - not quite a Christmas baby (does pipping count?

) but so very special to me nonetheless!
