Ok... I am going to get in on the New Year's Day Hatch, got some BCM coming for my son, and some Lemon Cuckoo Orphs for my daughter on the way in the mail! So today at my daughter's holiday concert the person seated in front of me tells me that she knows of some Silkie chicks that were hatched by accident while the owner was away and need a home..... Just how crazy am I?? I hadn't considered Silkies before....

These are two polish chicklets from Debs Hot2Pots beautiful eggs. They aren't due to hatch till today but these two couldn't wait to come out and play

very nervous momma. First time. Got shipped eggs. Quite a few were dirty. I candled yesterday and more than one was porous. One had a blood spot.

I didn't candle them all because I need a stronger light but I did see veins on one.

I did so want a gold laced polish! I have my Miss Stella who is a gold laced and my sweet neighbor lady down the road who lost a bunch of her chicklets to a night time coon attack was so very enamoured and wanted a gold laced too! I think they are just so precious and such smile machines

I candled last night to make room for the NYD eggs and I have at least 6 Dorking eggs doing well, only two clear. I can't tell what the Araucana eggs are doing yet so I'll leave them all in for now.

I'm going to candle my Christmas eggs tonight

My eggs from Charm 1704 are just so awesome I can't wait

I also have 9 bantam polish going that I set the day before Glenda's beauties

I did peek at the beautiful OE eggs this morning and they are already going strong but her beautiful marans eggs are so very dark I need to wait until tonight so it's dark enough that I might see something. It's day 7 for my bantam polish and day 6 for my beautiful Charm1704 eggs

Anyone else candling tonight?
