Charm, please don't give up on those eggs! My 'bator spiked to 104+ for over 8 hours while I was at work on day 21...I got everything under control and had a good cry when I got home, but basically wrote off this hatch. I just had one perfect chickie emerge this morning!!! Ah the miracles of life! I'm hoping that yours will be fine and a pleasant surprise!

sorry to hear about the bator getting unplugged. i read somewhere that if the power goes out to just make sure the lid stays closed until it gets fixed. not exactly the same, but similar. hopefully you'll get some pleasant surprises.
hot 2 pot, how long does it take to candle 3 trays of eggs? i stress out just candling the 42 my hovabator will hold.

Did you guess I candle fast? The styrofoam Bator took like 5 minutes, tossed 11. The other three trays , maybe 15 minutes. Those trays hold 30-48 eggs each. I want them back in the Bator fast, clears and blood rings get tossed,, questionable eggs I keep. No time to dilly dally around here!:-D Deb
