Hi there!

I need help with my experiment of dry hatching . since 14 hours these two chick have their shell crashed on their own but won‘t get any further. The Marans shows it‘s beak from time to time - but the flower hen hasn‘t showed it for a long time now . Do I need to help them? Are their membranes dried out?

Until now the dry incubation method worked very well: we use a brinsea maxi 2 advance. i incresed hmidity on the last two days to 65% and after the first chick hatched it increased automatically to 80% and now with 3 chicks inside it stabilised at 85%. Although i‘m not sure how true that is, as the digital hygrometer is lying at the front between eggs and shells and doesn‘t habe and space left.

Thank you so much for your help and please apologize my bad english - i‘ from austria .

all the best,
tina

Thank you so much for this ultra fast reply :)....

yes the air cells did grow appropriatley. i have to say the eggs did much better incubated dry than when I used the manual and didn‘t check the humidity.

So I will need to sit and wait now ...
