Our chicks shipped a day early! I'm so excited! This is my first time having chicks shipped to me and I'm so nervous! We live 1,044 miles away from the hatchery so I'm wondering how long it will take for them to arrive? Their email said that they should arrive in about 72 hours and I'm wondering if it's usually a shorter amount of time.
How much sugar should I put in 1 quart of water?
Any advice would help. Thanks!

I put one tsp to a regular size chick waterer, then dipped their beaks. Good luck and how exciting!
They arrived today! All of them were fine except one silkie (my friends) that I thought was dead but then I noticed it moved a little when I picked it up.
On the way to my friends house I rubbed it and kept it warm and then when we got there ours friends gave him a drink of sugar water with a eye dropper and he's much better, but he may have a crooked neck or something like that, but otherwise he's getting much better and hopefully he'll make a total recovery.
The hatchery sent some extra males and I think they are either RIR or New Hampshire Reds.
Is there a neck brace or something that I could tell our friends to try?
