Lucy leaned into the embrace, grateful for it and Victor's friendship. His words were light and comforting in her ear; how far she would let them affect her she wasn't quite sure. "Thank you," she murmured. She could feel his back, thin but strong beneath her nails, and was all too aware of the few steps necessary to end his life. Not that she would; certainly not. It shamed her to even be having that thought. But the last time she'd let anyone that physically close wasn't for comforting embraces.
Victor doubted her thank you. He felt a strange feeling from her, one that didn’t want to care. And he didn’t feel comfortable with that. He pulled away, a bit more suspicious of his friend. Victor whispered “Would you like to hang out something.”
