Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"So you're saying children can't be serious?" Allen was twisting her words, again, and enjoying it very much so.

Haley nodded in agreement. "Everyone's biased in so way or another," she said, grinning up at him.

( This whole situation has got me so tense :lol: )

Alexis didn't go in immediately. She let go of the handle and turned to see what the assistant principal wanted.

Emily sighed warily. "Not necessarily." She pulled a piece of paper from her skirt pocket and smoothed it out, then turned it so Dimitri could see. "I think you must have dropped this accidentally? I found it in the hall. You're not in trouble for it, but I'd like to caution you so you may stop before you do get in trouble. It's hard enough finding teachers willing to work here without the students causing petty trouble."

Alexis's eyes widened, the image sharpening in her sight as she slid her hand deep into her back pocket, searching. Oh great. She was really done for now with him.

Emily nodded for Dimitri to take the paper bearing a caricature of the history teacher; Dimitri's name scrawled in the bottom corner.

(I was saving this for later, but I wanted a little Emily action and this seemed like a good time ;) )
Ashton gave Allen the stink eye as he twisted her words. " Ha! You should apply for a job at the United Nations. Your convoluted articulations would be well served there." She observed aloud. She then popped a corn nut in her mouth and chomped on it loudly.
~~~
Dyrus grinned and nodded at that. " so what else should we get while we're here?" He asked randomly as the headed for the door.
~~~
(Really? It doesn't bother me in the slightest. But then I come from a dysfunctional family. lol! You've got to love the holidays. :hmm )
Dimitri frowned at the drawing and sighed hard before answering, " Well, considering my first outburst was on the borderline of blind violent. I figured this passive-aggressive doodle, would be embraced as an improvement in my unstable temperament. It is most unfortunate that it has escaped my possession. I shall endeavor to see that it doesn't happen again. My apologies for any hurt feelings it may have caused." He then slowly reached up to claim the drawing, crunching it into a ball after doing so. "Is that all?" He asked as he stared down the hallway with dead eyes.

"I doubt I would be accepted if I don't even know what you just said," Allen laughed. He puffed out his cheeks then and said in a low voice, "My, what a big vocabulary you have, grandmother," only to realize how completely idiotic he sounded if she didn't get the joke.

"I don't really need anything besides the kettle," Haley said, shrugging lightly. "But we may come across something while we're in there that one of us needs." She still held his hand—or he hers—and she wasn't about to let go. It had been forever since she'd gone shopping, or out to eat just for the sake of it, and she was loving every moment of this time with him.

(No, I'm just tense because this could go a few different ways :p )

Alexis was all too aware of the heat creeping up her neck; her hair brushing against it making her only more uncomfortable. She pulled her hand slowly from her pocket, leaving the folded sheet in place.

Emily smiled, grateful that he was so courteous with this. "Yes, that is all." She dipped her head slightly. "And don't worry; no one has hurt feelings because I found this before the due recipient did." She turned to go, checking her watch as she went. "Oh, aren't you both supposed to be in class right now?"

Alexis swallowed hard. The confession was on the tip of her tongue, but what came out instead was, "Yes, ma'am. Bathroom break, ya know."

(Ugh let me fix that I need to go back and check her history again.)

Victor held her gaze as well, hoping she would say yes. Time alone with her would be nice. He responded “There are birds that fly around here all the time. Come on, it’ll be relaxing.”
(In the post right before that, she answered Atalanta, saying she had no siblings.)

"But I'm not a bird." Lucy wasn't sure why she insisted on arguing this with him. She wanted to go out, no doubt about that, but the risk. And him. He sounded concerned enough for her wellbeing, but didn't everyone if they wanted to? She herself could be accused of such a bluff on many occasions.

( Jean-Claude and Anita Blake. I agree with you completely on that series. A shame too, it was really good.)
Leverett smiled gently and said, "You're not the one laid up. You don't have to feel obligated to stay by my side, Layla. I wouldn't want you to feel that way. Go get some proper rest, you'll make yourself sick if you don't take care of yourself. " He made a soft sound and gave her a sympathetic look. "I'll be alright, honest." He encourage further. He couldn't help but to feel responsible for her obvious discomfort.

Willow looked up at Adrian's question and answered, "Not really, technically horses and barn cats have always had symbiotic relationship. You see, the mice eat the horse's grain and the cat eats the mice."

(Yeah I remembered their names just couldn't remember the books. It totally sucks because the book series started so strong, the characters were good, love Jean-Claude. Then like three or four books in it just became so trashy. Since he was like one of my fav. characters in those books every time Leverett speaks it reminds me of him, I just love Leverett. He is my new favorite character.)

Layla paced back and forth before stopping to fix him with a frustrated glare. "But what if someone comes to hurt you, or assassinate you? You can't protect yourself right now! I won't leave you defenseless. I just need..what do I need?" She picked up her pacing as she thought through her options. "I just need to hit something, or someone. Maybe I can just find someone to hit and it will all be good." She stopped again and slumped into the chair, she felt caged and didn't know why. Perhaps she just hadn't exercised enough today, did she need to fight something that usually helped. Or maybe it was just all her new emotions erupting at once and making her uncomfortable because she didn't know how to deal. She looked at Leverett, so patient with her, so kind and open, he deserved better in a friend. She was a mess and he never complained, how had she managed such a thing.

"You are far from being a barn cat, but I see your point. What is your favorite dish or food in the world?" He asked curiously, wondering if it was something he could make her. He wanted a way to show her how special she was to him, and figured it would be a good choice.

(Um I am having writers block with Adrian:he , I promise the next post will be better with him. )

Iris responded “I was raised in an orphanage for a while. Then ryker found me, and my life got a lot better.”

Victor was starting to assemble some impatience. He said quietly, still calm “Listen. I am going to be honest.” He sighed, continuing “Lucy, is it too much to take a walk? Can’t they let us do even that? A basic human right. We’re in a prison, not a school.” He had raised his voice slightly, and since they were in a library he kept on going once a hushed voice once again “And that’s where we can be ourselves.” He cares too much for her already to leave her alone, so he added “If you still decide to stay, then I guess I’ll go later.”

Areum nodded, keeping their mission incognito. She said in a hushed voice “How we going to do this, alpha?”
Rowan looked around then stood, picking up his plate. He looked to her then around again "Carefully, there's a pantry off to the side there. One goes in, the other keeps watch."
