Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"I'm not the only one with connections," Atalanta said cryptically. She pulled her damp hair to one side and went under for just a moment to straighten it out. When she emerged soon after, she added, "Also, money isn't my only payment option."

Lucy studied him in return, not saying anything, just thinking. After all her complaints earlier, why was he still here with her? she wondered. Yeah, he said he didn't want to leave without her, but he knew next to nothing about her—and she aimed to keep it that way. She knew little enough about herself, anyway. She broke the gaze and scooted further down so she could fully look up at the branches and blue sky above. "If you went, then what would you do? Where would you go? Things cost money, so I've been told, and unless you have a secret safe in your room, you're about as broke as I am."
Iris mocked “Oh, Ms. I Run A Tattoo Mafia, I won’t get in your way.” She chuckled at her own joke.

Victor looked at her, responding “I would work.” He gazed into her eyes, searching her throughout. He yearned to see feelings, feelings towards him, even an ounce. Just an ounce was all he needed, and her eyes told stories of what raged within. He saw storms of anger, fear, doubt, trying to find a soft spot of possible affection.

Alastor stepped out of his room, showed, dressed and ready to get some much needed work done. On his way to the lab, he stopped by the kitchen to get a few items. Then he was on his way again. An elevator ride and he was in his laboratory in no time. He called for one of the orderlies to bring Eliana to his lab as promised.

Ryker rolled over to read the clock and sighed. He flopped on his back and stared at the ceiling for a time, before throwing back the covers and getting up. It was fortunate hee didn't required much sleep anymore, because he never got it. He moved to go shower and check in on Leverett. He hoped the French man was alright.

"Oh, good, thank you," Atalanta said, matching Iris's teasing tone.

Lucy plucked a strand of grass and wove it lazily between her fingers. Lame, but it provided something to look at besides him. "Where would you live?" She persuaded with the questions because it gave them something to talk about, and gave her ideas as well.

Samantha stepped out of the shower and quickly dried and dressed. She twisted what hair she could get into the towel and tossed it up on her head to dry while she tidied her room. A glance to the clock and, realizing it was much later than she thought, she sped up the tidying. Placing her hands on her hips, she swept her gaze across the small but neat room to confirm all was in place. It was. She returned her towel to the bathroom then left her room, headed for the lab downstairs.

( @Nariah01 she's going in search of Harper for the blood ;) )

Iris kept the joke going by asking with a fake sense of honesty “How do I join?”

Victor responded quietly “I don’t know. I don’t know enough about city life yet. But once you escape, it’s not like you’re going to be caught by them or something. If anything, you could go to the city, find one of Ryker’s associates, and get sent back to a huge mansion.”

"Starters, you get a little ink," Atalanta said, smirking at her. "Not much sense of belonging if you don't have a tat."

"But finding one man out of a city full?" Lucy frowned, skeptical. "And not to mention that there are so, so many cities."

Iris responded “Yeah, well that’s the obvious answer isn’t it.” She started contemplating if that was something she wanted or not.

Victor admitted “Fine, my plan isnt perfection. But tell me, is it better than living here? I think so. There are twenty year olds? Taking classes? It’s stupid. All we do is school, and it sucks.”

Areum closed her eyes, her lips pressing against his, dimly lit by the flickering of a lantern. She grasped onto his arms, becoming more involved.
After a while, Rowan pulled away, holding her still for a while then touching her cheek. "We should get back, get some rest."
