Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Priam stepped an inch to the side, just barely depriving her of his nose as a target. But he could tell there would be a bruise to deal with on his cheek later. "Now I'm really intrigued as to your animal," he said. He was wincing visibly when she hit, but he kept his grip on her wrist, digging his nails deep into the skin.
Irine also winced as Priam's nails broke the skin. But that discomfort was nothing like the fire like burning that was spreading from the wounds. "What is that?! What have you done, Priam?! You weren't supposed to kill me!" She screamed in agony as his poison leached into her bloodstream.

(Good thing Ryker's awake. :D )

"You don't get it?" Allen raised an eyebrow skeptically. "'Convoluted articulations'. Big vocab? No?" He shrugged.

"Well maybe we'll just redecorate a whole room while we're here," Haley teased. She finished the twirl with ease, a genuine and happy smile on her face. "Why Mr. Dyrus, you executed that with such skill, i must ask, do you dance?"

Neither woman tried to stop him. Alexis watched him go, the big burly tiger that she just yesterday was tagging along after on the roof, and felt a twinge of guilt. She'd pushed him too far, and this was the result. She returned to the classroom and slid as silently as she could into her seat.
Ares, despite her attempts to return unnoticed, looked up immediately.

Emily wished she could have said something more assuring, but anything else would have been a lie and that was the last thing he needed to hear. Folding her arms, she slowly set off for her office in the other direction.
Ashton shook her head and said, "Just keep digging yourself in deeper." She picked up her water and leaned back to take a sip and watch Allen.

"When the occasion arises. I'm glad you approve of my fancy foot work. You're not bad yourself. " Dyrus informed with a chuckle. He decided to get a cart in case said impulse buys got the better of them. Unfortunately, it ment letting Haley's hand go.

(Sorry Silks, I've been planning this for some time. Don't hate me too much. )

Dimitri lumbered on in his own mind and feelings of defeat. It was only the scent of lion that got his attention as he rounded the corner at the end of the hall. He looked up to find an unassuming looking male leaning against the wall with his arms crossed casually. His words however, were to the contrary. "That's the saddest thing I've ever seen. Poor little tiger can't get no loyalty or love." He said with a baby voice as he pouted and made tear tracks with his fingers. Dimitri recoiled from the unexpected insults, but before he could recover, Indigo Danger had shifted and attacked him. Offsetting him and locked his teeth around his neck. He groaned in shock, before his windpipe was restricted. Dimitri swatted with dagger claws and kicked with his feet to try to disembowel his attacker. But Indigo simply laid his full weight down on him, essentially pinning him to the linoleum. When Dimitri started to blackout, the pressure on his throat subsided. But unconscious already had him and as he was sucked down into blackness the whispered words were strange. "You lost your course, follow me with another one. Come back to Ryker's embrace. Not that you have a choice in the matter now. I'll see you around Dimitri." Then there was nothing.

Indigo stood up and looked down at his newest recruit. Go big or go home. He'd been trying to get the tiger off guard for some time now. Thanks, Alexis. You're a peach. The thought happily as he took a napkin and plotted at the blood oozing from the wound his incisors had left on Dimitri's neck. He looked down both ways in the hallway before slipping his hands in his pockets to hide the bloodied napkin and hurried off.

(*facepalm* Oh shoot, I just remembered he had gloves on)

Priam immediately loosened his grip and flicked his gaze towards his gloved hand where his claws now protruded. He hadn't meant to break through the sturdy fabric, much less cut her, but he had. Releasing her in order to turn her to face him, he gently took her bleeding wrist in his other hand to inspect the damage done. "Harper!" He barked in the assistant's direction. "We need to get her to Ryker quick." Quick, before his poison reached too far into her bloodstream and caused too much damage.

"And you're not helping any," Allen grumbled. He moved his piece then pulled a cheese stick from the pile of goods. "Let's see how much a hot pocket effects cheddar," he said jovially.

"Perhaps such an occasion should arise more often; give you a chance to show me what else you can do there," Haley said. She flashed him a smile before stepping aside to let him through with the cart. "Oh, we really are redecorating a room," she said, chuckling softly as she glanced to the cart.

( :hit Okay, okay)

The class—history, was it?—ended and the teacher dismissed everyone. Alexis quickly stood and gathered her stuff, hoping to get out unnoticed.

"Hey, did you get my note?" Ares asked, falling into line behind her. He shifted the backpack on his shoulder as he lengthened his stride to reach her.

Alexis glanced up, from him to the the door where people still streamed out. It took her a moment to realize what he was talking about. When she did, her mind immediately pictured the crumpled up piece of paper she'd tossed in the nearest can upon exiting the classroom. "Yeah, I did," she finally said.

"And?" Ares raised his eyebrows, prodding her to go on. She didn't. "Why didn't you reply?"

Alexis shrugged. Because she didn't want to, because they were in class, because she now realized he knew exactly what he was doing. "Because I didn't care to rip paper out of my own notebook," she said, hoping that would deter him. It maybe would have, if she hadn't wiped her teary eyes right then.

"Hey now, what's the matter?" Ares crooned. He reached for her to bring her into an embrace, but she flinched and took a step back. Frowning, he tried once more.

This time Alexis pushed him away and was about to say something not so polite when Zaine stepped in. He'd been watching the exchange from a few feet away, his classroom on the same hall having just let out as well. "Um, Alexis, the assistant principal is looking for you." He glanced to Ares. "Right now. She needs you right now."

Alexis blinked back tears and looked confused, but only for a moment. Good old owl. "Coming," she said, pivoting on her heel and walking away.

"Well, bye," Ares said, smirking at their backs. "Tell Emily I said hi."

Zaine went with her down the hall, staying at her side. Neither looked back or said a word until they had safely turned the corner. "What was that about?" He finally asked, gently pulling her to a stop by the elbow.

Alexis sniffled, turned away. Oh what could it hurt. She needed to get it out anyway. So she told Zaine, and he listened patiently and without interrupting until she was finished.
