Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Ares walked slowly down the hall in his leopard form, trying to discern the scent of tiger and blood among everything else. He should have come sooner, his conscience nagged him, but he simply hadn't wanted to. Now he pretty much only wanted to because his other pas-the-time option was going to do schoolwork. This was decidedly more exciting. He paused his sniffing and lifted his head to see Emily passing through. She stopped suddenly, her hand flying to her heart, and muttered something under her breath. No doubt she wasn't yet used to wild animals stalking halls. He lifted his upped lip slightly to reveal his sharp row of teeth just to mess with her. To her credit, though, she then relaxed and kept moving past, even offering a "thank you for doing this" like she was positive she knew who he was and what he was doing. How many other leopards were here, he wondered.

Chuckling, Allen shook his head. "Hey where are we, Frog?" He asked, looking around. He hadn't exactly been watching where they were walking.

"Oh good," Haley joked. She slipped her own shoes and socks off and sighed softly as she stepped onto the sand. It was a shame they hadn't come prepared to swim; the water was beautiful.
" In the hall, Hairspray. I thought that was obvious." Ashton said with a smile. Choosing the state the obvious.

"What is he doing out?" Gideon asked from down the hall.

"I'll keep trying others, don't you worry. I'll find one that fits" Dyrus said matter-of-factly as he stood to walk where the water lapped at the shore.

Allen jerked around to see who spoke. Oh great, he'd been spotted. He glanced to Ashton. "It's mandatory that even us from down under stretch our legs occasionally," he said, then gave Gideon a cheery grin.

"You do that. But until then, I'm certainly not complaining about just being called 'Haley' by you," Haley said with a smile. She lined her shoes up evenly then followed after him.

Zaine looked desperately to Alexis. He wasn't sure what else he could say, especially with the finality with which Dimitri spoke those words. "You really don't care to even try?" He had to ask. He knew if he ever found someone again that clicked that much with himself, he'd never let them go over an argument. He winced slightly as an old friend came to mind. A face he'd pay anything to see just once again. But Dimitri's following comment snapped him out of his reverie and he glared at him. "Yes, light. Let's go," he said to Lyra. He turned sharply to leave, deciding against saying something that could possibly make things worse. Alexis would just have to deal with the man on her own.
Dimitri watched Zaine leave before turning to looking to the doctor. "Well? Will I live?" He asked curiously.

Donella nodded and walked towards the nurses' office to check on Dimitri
Andorra was strangely quite as they walked. She was thinking about everything that had happened this day. How could everything go so wrong? A fellow student was attacking others. That was a disconcerting thought. How could they be safe from Ryker if they weren't even safe from each other?

Alexis watched the pair leave then looked up at Dimitri once more as if to say "Well? You're not going to even acknowledge his question?" She was hurt that he hadn't, no doubt about that, and even more so that he wasn't going to give her a second chance. Why was she even sitting here with him still, she thought bitterly. She hopped down and stalked to the door, but stopped so she could hear the doctor's verdict first.

Gideon crossed his arms and walked over to them. He looked to Allen and said, " And I know my amphibious sister is not a guard. So that duty does not fall to her. Nice try, though. Plus she's never been a good samaritan in volunteering her time. So she must like you quite a bit. The question is why?"

"Oh, shut up Gid, what are you jealous. I didn't know you were capable of that emotion. That would require some kind of love. Which we know you're incapable of feeling. So I replaced you." Ashton said maliciously. She was still upset with him and wanted to inflict as much hurt as she could.

Gideon winced visibly at her barb as he looked down. " I knew you could be cruel. But I didn't know you could be heartless as well." He stated before walking away. Hating himself just a little more.

"Haley, Haley, Haley." Dyrus said with a mischievous grin. "Be careful what you ask for, Haley." He teased.

( He's been brainwashed. I'm sorry, he's not going to be the same. His priorities are different and so are his loyalties. Just wait until he see Ioan. *laughs evilly* )
Dimitri glanced to Alexis as she jumped down. He registered relief that she was leaving by going to the door. She was a part of his old life, a part best left in the past. He looked back to the doctor expectedly as he waited for the results.

Allen watched the exchange with worry, feeling guilty if this was actually over him. "Um. Bye?" He glanced between the two of them. "Ashton, you could have been a little nicer, ya know," he mumbled.

"It beats 'sweetie pie, sweetie pie,' Haley said, chuckling lightly. She stooped down to pick up a handful of sand and let it run through her fingers. "But in all seriousness, I've got no complaint as long as it's my name only on your lips."
