Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Laurel remained quiet for a long while in contemplation before a genuine smile brightened her appearance. "Thank you, Madison. I am very grateful to you for spending the time to speak with me. You were right, it does help talking about it."

Aralyn's glare grew increasingly dangerous. "I'm an idiot for thinking that you were smart, but your ignorance has disproved that! It was act." She explained without patience. "The fall, when I cried, it was a tack tact I correctly chose to aid you in catching that man. If it had been me alone I could have caught him, but since you have failed to complete a mission successfully on your own, I used my beauty to aid you in proving your talent, but not taking over the mission completely so that Ryker's small amount of patience for you was not destroyed completely. I'm sorry that I ever helped you succeed, I much would have rather enjoyed watching you fail."

"Now if I can just get Ryker to say that about me. " Madison stated with a chuckle. "Perhaps you can mention it to him, it might expediate things."

"Not that is the first truth you've said all day, mademoiselle. You are an idiot and I concur." Leverett surmised smugly. He shot a glare in her direction, as he shifted gears. He then turned to look for the highway he needed.
( He's a jerk, but I like their dynamic. ;) )

Dimitri nodded and smiled at that. "Not one for awkward silence, huh?" He teased mildly.

Andorra saw Zaine looking at the bookshelf. She got up and headed over. "So what books have you read of Token?" She asked conversationally.
Alexis shook her head slowly. "Nope, not really. Are you?"

Zaine looked up from the knot in the shelf he had been staring boredly at. "Silmarrilion, The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings series, Unfinished Tales, the Book of Lost Tales, and several of his books that are backstory to Middle Earth," he listed them quickly and without delay. He'd been asked this question quite a few times in the past so he'd memorized the titles. "I didn't much care for his other works. Put them down halfway through and returned to Middle Earth," he said, smiling softly.

"Silence is golden. Haven't you ever heard of that? You just have to learn to listen to the negative spaces of speech. It can tell you more then a loud, pointlessly aimed babble. Plus, in solitary confinement, there wasn't that much conversations.....well, there were rats. But they didn't last to long in my cell." Dimitri said as he smacked his lips for emphasis.

Andorra whistled, "Wow! You're practically an expert. Which one do you prefer? I've never read Silmarrilion. What's it about? " She asked curiously.

Alexis put her hand to her heart and, acting offended, said, "Are you suggesting that I babble pointlessly? Why, I thought better of you." She knew full well that she was a rambler. Must of come from living in a household of boys. At least, that's what she liked to blame it on, despite the lack of logic that came with that.

"I had a lot of alone time growing up. The Hobbit is probably my favorite of all, but the Silmarrilion is really great. So much good backstory that is missed in The Lord of the Rings," Zaine explained. "I highly recommend it. But, be warned, it's not an easy read."

"Whatever. Anyway, this conversation is rather irrelevant to life as it is right now, because I doubt Ryker will let us have pet cats, big or small in here." Allen said, chuckling softly.
Yhgiilra thought about what topic to bring up next. And since he added "irrelevant to life" she wanted to make her next topic rather depressing for laughs.
"Alright, Mr. Nitpicky. We're doing just about nothing with our lives stuck in cages, forced to be in the same room with someone else and therefore technically forced to socialize whether you like it or not. Either we're going to die from killing someone who probably doesn't deserve it, or rotting away in a cage we're trapped in. So I guess a good question would be; which way would you prefer? There, I gave you a topic relevant to life." Yhgiilra looked to Allen with a smirk, though what she had said may actually be true so it wasn't really something very appropriate for joking about.

Sebastian puffed his chest proudly. A compliment from Ryker was a not stale gumball in a gumball mechine (hehe). "Of course I do sir. That's why I'm your favorite!" Sebastian beamed knowing there was a fifty percent chance his high spirits were about to be crushed.

Ryker looked to Sebastian a long moment, before turning his attention to his steaming how food. He took the napkin and set it upon his lap and picked up his fork. After choosing a morsel, he looked back to Sebastian and stated simply. " We'll see if that stays the case. I'm still very annoyed at your little stunt, Sebastian."
Sebastian delicately cut off a piece of his lobster tail and took a bite. It was heaven in seafood form. "Ah but sir, my previous standing with you has to outweigh that minor incident. Alls well that ends well. Nobody important was hurt."

"Conversation," Allen moved his hand horizontally through the air, Then made a sharp dip, "downhill." He cleared his throat before answering the rather morbid question. "Killing someone, of course. Whether they deserve it or not is not my problem. If their death is Ryker's wish, then I will see it carried out. And yes, I'm aware that wasn't exactly the answer to your question. I'd rather die fighting than by rotting."

"I'm simply suggesting that you hide behind your rambling. Thinking that as long as they are focusing on your words, they can't focus upon you. Am I right? " Dimitri explained.

"Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. " Andorra said with amusement.

Alexis looked him in the eye, thinking carefully on how to reply. (No that wasn't supposed to rhyme  ) "I've never considered it for that. Actually, I'm rather fond of attention. I was never short of it at home, but the few years at the labs I must say, I was very deprived. So if I ramble for anything, it's not to avert attention, it's more likely to gain. There ya go. Insider information. You're welcome, and I'll keep an eye out for my check." She kept her gaze, though she felt slightly uncomfortable with the turn in conversation.

"No, it isn't," Zaine agreed.
