Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

William smiled and took a step back. "You have your ears and well this is why I have, don't freak out, some people freak out the first time I do this." He said holding his hands out to make sure she wouldn't panic when he started. He closed his eyes and thought about what he wanted to do, the process of changing his skin to that of his Komodo Dragon counterpart, It usually started at his hands, feet and neck and moved inward like the turning of a page. He opened his eyes as he felt the thick chain-mail like scales cover his whole body and grinned at her. "Pretty neat right?"
Leah looked at him in wonder, as the man in front of her changed from human into what seemed to be a dragon. She looked at him, realizing she was holding a hand covered in scales, not skin. She admittedly became a bit nervous at that, bit responded "That's interesting."

Nova looked around the room once the lights changed, going to the walls to look at what he ad drawn. "These drawings are amazing." She said softly after a minute. There was a great deal of power in truth, and she could see that these were not just random drawings, but things he had seen and put to paper. As scary as some could be, they still drew her to look. Her hand came up, hovering about an inch away from the paper though she couldn't bring herself to touch since she didn't want to ruin the lines as she moved, following the art around the room
Anuerin's gaze followed Nova around the room, and was surprised by some of the drawings she came across. It had been awhile since he paid attention to certain drawings, and they reminded him of the emotions he felt in the memories they were created after. Half of the pictures were drawings were of Amaryllis, where the least amount of charcoal pencil was used to define her features. The unusual amount of light that was used in these pictures helped them to stand out from the rest, as it was used to represent the purity and innocence of his sister's character. There were many dark illustrations of Anuerin after his wings had been removed, an expression of the pain and sorrow he had endured after loosing one of the very few things in life that brought him pleasure. He moved to take down the first drawing he had made after surgery, but after hesitating decided to leave it. He didn't want Nova to see the darkness he had transferred to paper through his pen, but there were too many drawings like this one to take down before she saw them. He couldn't hide himself from people like this forever. It was time Nova knew the truth; to see him for who he truly was.

Nova finished her little 'tour' and looked to Anuerin again, absently wiping a tear away. "You are an amazing artist Anuerin, you can capture the feelings so well even with such a simple medium. These ones of your sister show that you see her as pure and innocent and so lovely. Then these of you...you show yourself as dark, cut off from everyone else, possibly unworthy?" She frowned and looked to him again "Anuerin..."

He smiled as she slid into his lap, he should pretend to be sick more often he thought happily until she froze. He swore under his breath, no surprise she would find out eventually, and it wasn't like he had done anything bad, not really. "Its nothing really, I went back to change and met my room mate. Hes a surly, not very friendly lion and I sort of punched him in the face. That's actually how I met Elijah, he stepped in and broke up the fight before I got a beat down. I'd like to think I'd win but lets face it I am not match for a lion on steroids." He said with a quiet chuckle hoping it would satisfy her curiosity, maybe she could help sooth his wounded pride at admitting he probably would have lost.
" Wait a minute....back up Hoss. You punched a lion on steroids in the face? Why exactly? Did he threaten you or attack you Adrian? " Willow asked becoming concerned. She looked him over for any injuries. "If so, we need to report it. I can't stand bullies of any kind." She added almost angerly.

(Our posts :p )

"Stairs are that way?" Alexis asked, nodding in the direction in question. No, she hadn't been paying attention yesterday.

Allen spun around to see who had spoken. "Gosh you startled me," he muttered—then straightened and put his best smile on. She wouldn't know he had no right to be up here, right? "Walking," he then added. He tightened his grip on the bag that he still held. Walking down the upstairs halls with a bag of cheese sticks in hand, duh. Oh gosh, where was Ashton. "What are you doing up here?" He countered, attempting to turn the light off himself.

Haley set her menu to the side and folded her hands in her lap as she looked around. This certainly made a nice change to the busy and noisy breakfasts at the mansion.

Ares shrugged lightly, as if the females looking his way didn't mean a thing. Actually, he reveled in the attention. It wasn't high school but it was the best one could get around here. "Yeah, it's nice. It's just a pity we're not allowed out."
"Yep!" Dimitri replied happily as he headed down the hallway. "Don't worry little house cat, I'll get you there." He replied with a grin.

Madison sniffed the air and tipped her head as he dared to ask her a question. She walked in a slow circle as she asked, "You're new, I haven't seen or smelled you before. So you're not from up here. My right to be here it's not in question, but yours is. You're the one looking for something by peaking in bedrooms. " She stopped in front of him to look to his hand curiously. "So what's the cheese for? Are you hunting a big gray rat named Gideon? Is that what Ryker let you loose to do? Is that why you smell like Ashton?" She inquired further.

Seeing Haley was ready, Dyrus motioned the waitress over to place their orders. He also for the French toast and coffee.

Roan clamped his lips shut and nodded at the. He glanced to his food as he said, "Yeah, it's a pity. There's barely any windows in this place as it is."

Amaryllis set her fork down to look at Vasper. "I didn't realize you eat salads." She admitted curiously.

"You're welcome." Laurel replied with a warm smile as she moved closer to Razeth.
Vasper frowned and looked to his omelet which was full of papers and onions. " I was human first and they are omnivorous. So yes, I can eat vegetables, nuts and meat proteins. Amaryllis, I'm sorry if you took offense to something I said. I assure you it was not intended in any bad way. There's much I don't know about starfish. " He said quietly as he finally glanced up from his plate to meet her gaze. " but I must admit I'm compelled to learn everything about you." He concluded gently.

"I'm not offended by what you said." Amaryllis spoke with a smile of assurance. "We are both different, and I am sure, we can learn from one another."

Donella smiled happily at that and dipped her head "I'm glad you think so. I do want you to be happy, you do deserve to be happy."
Andorra shrugged, it was almost dismissal of her deserving to be happy. She was content in her life her, but far from happy. "My singing used to make me happy." She told Donella quietly.

Vasper smiled hopefully and said, "I think that's a good thing for us both. The learning from one another."

"Now are you going to let me read you to sleep? I still haven't read you my favorite Fairy Tail yet." Razeth said as he scooted on the bed to make room for Laurel.

Amaryllis smiled before peering down at her salad. She finished the last few bites and piled her trash onto her tray. "I've decided to talk with Ryker." She announced, releasing a deep breath. "I want to see if there's a way to give Anuerin's his wings."

Laurel settled in the bed sheets and closed the distance between them. "Go ahead." She answered softly with a weary smile.
