That was partly why she was so concerned with keeping Amaryllis safe.

Claire woke up in her cell in the early in the morning. She was a morning person, waking up early. She combed her hair with her hands, then looked upwards out the cell door.

"At all?" Zaine asked, unable to hide his surprise. That would be a crying shame. As intelligent as she seemed, sitting on the roof the rest of her days seemed like the ultimate waste. If they were going to be here a long time she might as well attend the classes.
