Zaine immediately spotted the fat tabby seated next to Dimitri. Oh, that was really great. He cleared his throat. "Um. Hey, man. I heard what happened and just wanted to uh stop by and um see how you were doing." Not entirely truthful, but seeing Alexis here, he assumed they'd worked something out. Meaning his purpose here was void.

Anne left to go back to the main office to give them space. Too many people in that size a room.

Dimitri scowled at Zaine's manner. " Funny, I didn't think we were that kind of friends." He stated darkly with a neutral expression. He rubbed his neck and said simply, "That's nice of you, but you're only nice when you want something. So what do you want?"

Ashton smirked and said unconvincingly, " Pure and utter gibberish. What are you going on about?" She giggled softly as she brushed his hand away from poking her sholder. " I'm not an elevator, poking me doesn't get results. No matter how many times you do it." She taunted with a grin.

Dyrus pulled back a moment and said with humor, " If our kid was a potato, I'd worry about being seen. But as it is, she doesn't have any eyes."

"You don't like poker?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked sideways at her. "Overrated game, but the results aren't always so bad if you play your cards right. No pun intended."

"I think we've both got enough good looks to not have a baby potato," Haley said, chuckling softly in his neck.

Donella smiled a her again "I am happy with a friend like you" She said then glanced to the door "And to see others happy as a couple."

"Yeah, me too." Andorra was quick to agree. She finished washing and dried her hands to start putting the dishes Donella had dried away. " I'm more sensory happy. Good food, good book an great song. I'm in perfect bliss. Really not complicated like some." She stated truthfully.

"I had something else to say, but I think it unnecessary now. Good to know you're not mortally injured. I mean it when I say I'm glad you're okay, for my sake as well as others." He inclined his head slightly to Alexis then turned to go.

"You don't like poker?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked sideways at her. "Overrated game, but the results aren't always so bad if you play your cards right. No pun intended."

"I think we've both got enough good looks to not have a baby potato," Haley said, chuckling softly in his neck.

" Oh I am nominating you as pun King. You do have a skill with the verbiage." Ashton said decidedly. She then looked to Allen and asked, " Do you like Lady Gaga? She got a song called Poker Face. How about I show you that. Game?" She held her finger up with devious intent.

Dyrus grinned devilishly and said, " Yeah, I'm vain enough to believe we can do better than a potato." He kissed her temple and stepped back a bit. "Shall we go to the beach?" He asked curiously.

Zaine switched Lyra's bag to his other hand and glanced to her. Now was about the time an emergency exit would be great. Meeting Alexis's green cat eyes, he stared hard at her while he spoke. "I had something else to say, but I think it unnecessary now. Good to know you're not mortally injured. I mean it when I say I'm glad you're okay, for my sake as well as others." He inclined his head slightly to Alexis then turned to go.

"Wait. Tell me. I want to know what happened." Dimitri implored of Zaine. He removed his hand from Alexis's back with a bit of distaste. Had she run after that male in class while he was injured? He thought bitterly.

Haley laughed lightly at that. "Yes, to both. Lead on, dear." She smiled softly at him as she stepped aside to let him go first.

"Wait. Tell me. I want to know what happened." Dimitri implored of Zaine. He removed his hand from Alexis's back with a bit of distaste. Had she run after that male in class while he was injured? He thought bitterly.

Zaine sighed, a little louder than he meant. He really didn't want to have to talk about this if he didn't have to, but geez, his neck between Dimitri's tiger teeth later didn't sound too appealing either.

Alexis glanced up at Dimitri and pawed his knee. She then glanced to Zaine, interested to hear how he was going to explain this. Honestly, hopefully.

"I ran into Alexis after her last class with you and she was just about in tears, man." This is what he would have said without her present so she'd just have to listen. "She gave me the reader's digest version of what happened and I said I'd talk to you. But I assumed you two worked things out now."

Dyrus chuckled and did as instructed. The beach wasn't far from their spot. So soon enough they cleared the treeline for the open expanse of the beach.
