Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(poor Ellie getting thrown to the wolves. Lol )
Ellie frowned at Nick when he pretty much rudely ignored her and paid more attention to the woman he was trying to keep there. "you know what never mind." She said and turned to head back over to Sam and looked to her with a scowl. "you lied he's a jerk."
(I'm not particularly nice to my characters, so why should I be to yours? )

Samantha smiled sweetly at her. "You've got to get to know him, hun."

Aralyn tensed with anger as Nick held her still. She was about to react, but hesitated when he mentioned another person. She turned away to see who he referred to and whipped her head around to hold his gaze. "I work alone." She sneered, pressing the heel of her shoe into his foot. "Goodbye." She stepped back as he released his hold of her wrist.
Nick shrugged lightly as she stalked off. To Ellie, he simply frowned and said, "Can't for the life of me figure out what got into her."

But the girl had moved away as well. Swell. Nick, feeling a teeny bit guilty for ignoring her—but justifying it with the excuse that he was talking to Aralyn—stepped up to the table where Samantha sat. "Sam," he said, inclining his head to her. She flashed him a toothy, slightly threatening smile, enough to get her point across, so he moved on to Ellie. "Sorry about that. Did you need something?" He raised his brow questioningly as he looked at her.

(How funny! I just pulled up byc and you literally posted this right as the sight loaded.)
Amaryllis looked up to smile tiredly at Vasper. "I was just coming to look for you." She admitted, entering the kitchen. "Maybe you could introduce me to your friend and then there is something I want to ask you." Amaryllis smiled warmly to the girl before turning her attention back to Vasper.
"Sure, this is Layla. Layla this is Amaryllis. " Vasper said as he looked betweenthe two. He frowned mildly and asked curiously, "What do you want to ask me?"
Layla watched the change in him as he went to Amaryllis and dipped her head to give them some privacy if they wanted it. She busied herself with cleaning up their mess on the table. She was happy for him, that he had found someone, although she felt a pang in her chest, sadness that no one looked at her like that perhaps. She snarled and growled to herself to cut it out, she didn't need someone like that.

"Sure, this is Layla. Layla this is Amaryllis. " Vasper said as he looked betweenthe two. He frowned mildly and asked curiously, "What do you want to ask me?"
Layla turned, "Vasper has told me about you, nice to meet you. " She said simply with a curt nod of her head. "I should probably get some food and bring it down to Leverett, he is probably awake and hungry by now. " She said and turned to get what she needed to leave.

Saskia looked at Eirik and pouted a bit but shook her head. "To be honest she hunts well all on her own, I am mostly here for my nose, and my support. Keep her from getting too murdery." She said to him while Madison hunted around the room tormenting Gideon. She then moved into the room and looked around briefly before putting her nose to work, "Best close the door behind us Eirik I do believe he is still in here." She said with a smile as she walked around the bed and sat down on it, sniffing the air around her.
Gideon cursed mentally as the door was shut and he was trapped in the room.....his room. He inched back as far as he could under the bed in the corner. He watched their feet with trepidation. When one sat on the bed, he held his breath.

Madison check the obvious spots, closet, foot locker and bathroom. That's when she smiled and got down to look under the bed. "There you are! Come out and play Giddy. It'll only hurt for a little while. I promise. " She said with a dark smile.

Gideon hissed furiously and bared his teeth at her. He'd never been so scared in his life. His paws trembled slightly with his fright as he tried to act otherwise. So this was how he died, how pathetic was he? He thought frantically.

"Eww, you are an ugly thing aren't you?! Don't make me get a broom and beat you out from under here. I'll do it, just watch!" Madison threatened angrily as Gideon lunged at her with snapping jaws.

"It's nice to meet you too." Amaryllis smiled warmly. Not wanting to ignore the woman, she waited until Layla was gone before speaking with Vasper. "Anuerin just had surgery to have his wings reattached." She felt conflicted between sounding excited and terrified. "I need to stay with him. He's sleeping, but he will be in a lot of pain when he wakes. I wondered if you might stay with me while I care for him tonight?" She asked a little quietly, becoming afraid of what his answer might be. She knew Vasper didn't like her brother, but she didn't want to be alone and had no else to ask.

Saskia let Madison torment the little fellow until she heard him lunge for her. She bent down from where she sat on the bed and snatched him up as he emerged before he could get to Madison. "Easy does it there little buddy, were only here to talk, promise. Play nice Madison." She said with a grin as she held the squirming possum.

Saskia moved and set him on the bed before he thought to turn and bite her. "Now why don't you shift back so this conversation doesn't become boring?" She suggested.

(I found what I think is the last thing I wrote on Cyra. Honestly, it's been so long I'm having a hard time remembering.)
Cyra quickly closed the door as Ioan disappeared from her view. Locking the door for reassurance, she eagerly read the letter. She was confused, at first, by its meaning, but soon came to understand. She was glad she hadn't messed up, even if she hadn't read the letter before speaking with Ioan. Cyra was thrilled with the thought of how proud Indigo would be of her. Hiding the note under her matteress, she left her room in search of Indigo.
(Should we hold this until morning? Everyone else is asleep. :hmm )

(I want to pick this up now that we aren't focused on Anuerin's surgery.)
"What do you want to do now?" Laurel asked, her tone changing from pretend disinterest.
"I don't know, ladies choice" Razeth said with thoughtfulness. He was sure where to go other the the lab floor. He'd never imagined he'd be given free rein of the mansion.

Leverett settled into quietly companionship with Nova at his side. He knew it wouldn't last and she wasn't his. But for the moment he could pretend she was. He closed his eyes to better remember the nuances of their brief time together. Her subtle scent, her soft breathing and above all her warm closeness.

Nova settled in where she was, soon enough falling asleep there, curled up next to him. She was comfortable with him, even if he kind of blackmailed her into staying.

Layla had gathered some food from the kitchen onto a tray and was bringing it down to Leverett, it was a bit early for a meal but she knew the sort of things to put together it was simple enough. She was surprisingly relaxed and felt better then before after her chat and deal with Vasper, she was excited to get back to her friend. As she walked down the hall towards where his room was she hoped he was feeling better she knew he had been in some pain before. She rounded the corner and the scent of the one who had saved him before, the one who had stayed when she could not hit her nose. She clenched her fingers around the tray and paused to take a steadying breath. When she walked into his room and found them curled up together, despite his injuries in his bed she growled slightly but caught herself. She had no claim on him, no right to feel this...this jealousy but she did none the less. She slammed the tray down in her petty grumpiness then turned to leave.

(Suitably awkward despite not being his girlfriend? )

Ellie looked at Sam before he walked over with a scowl, "Stop pushing my buttons or I am going to bite you." She said in a huff as she started packing up her snacks.

She looked up as Nick came over and spoke to her. "Nope. Did you?" She said giving him much the same treatment he had to her.

( :gig now you got her a touch mad )
