China disgusts me

Oh my, that is heart-wrenching, distressing beyond words. I too have images of Chinese cruelty toward animals in my head - mine are of that recent campaign there to kill all pet dogs. Trucks full of thugs roamed the country, breaking into houses and clubbing dogs to death in front of terrified owners. I can't BELIEVE the Olympics are going to be held in a country like this. It really goes beyond the simple objectification of animals that one sees around the world. This is sadistic. The world needs to open it's eyes and stop ignoring this - it's really not acceptable in any way whatsoever. This was mentioned near the end of the article and I think explains a lot of the reason as to why the Chinese treat animals the way they do:

What a tragedy - for both the animals and the people of that country. That's a shame about Oprah as well. Perhaps you could keep trying. That's all anyone can do - keep trying to make the world a better place for animals. I intend to boycott China in my own ways and write plenty of letters, post this article, send copies of it etc. People honestly don't know this stuff is happening and if they did, they'd get angry too and that anger would produce an outcry and hopefully, results.

from all the youtube animal abuse vidios from china, i think a lion pit is more humane than some other animals get but thats just down right naste, the goat should atleast be slaughterd befor thrown in, thats just plain horrible. Its sad that are animals live such nice lives compered to other countrys.

Welcome to the 21st Century where predators no longer kill prey or DO THEY?
 
I couldn't bring myself to go to the link...but I have been very, very choosy about the products I buy, if you know what I mean.

A few weeks ago, an article in my paper said that the chinese families that could afford to, bought toys from other countries! That speaks volumes, don't you think?
 
I think the way the lions kill their prey is amazing, but that is not natural. That's just terrible. All of those lions cramped in that. The thing about having 140 tigers in the freezer just rips at my heart. Im a Wildlife Warrior, and that just kills me. People are so cruel. I tell my mom from time to time, I wish we could take all of the animal abusers, murders and everyone that is evil, and stick them on an island out in the middle of no where. If they abused animals, abuse them the same way, if they murdered someone, dont inject them and let them die in peace, chop them to pieces, or shoot them in the head, whatever they did to that person, needs to be done to them.

makes me want to throw up on how people can be so heartless..sad thing is things like this happen everywhere even in the USA.

They shouldnt get the easy way out. we shouldnt waste money to use injections, we should at least take them out back and hang them or something cheap. We also shouldnt let them stay in prison for years and years while we feed and take care of them. We should take them out within a year.
