Seriously? You bought frogs in Chinatown to release them in a pond?
And how do you know its the same ones, still alive?

Or, uh, legal?

Yeah...frogs are bred for food, buying to release condems more to the same fate, releasing is likly illegal because of non native species AND releasing captive bred reptile diseases into the wild. Here in washington/oregon at least, bull frogs are eating the native frogs, and released pets have introduced diseases into wild populations further leading to their demise.

I have to wonder... Yeah! How many here can say they have actually seen a real Asian market? Not talking about the ones here in the US, but those in an Asian country. Or even better, sat down and ate with them and ate what they are eating.

Sure some of those pictures might be faked to a degree, but once you've seen the real thing, it would change you like you can't imagine.

Wow, I hadn't thought of all that. I was just thinking it was kinda silly to "care enough" to release a few frogs - when their are families in the street without a job. Or old people with no one to care about them. Or... well, you get the idea.

Best thing to do, if you are going to "save" the frogs is to keep them as pets, I would guess. Even then, I don't know how long they would live, though.
