Chinese New Year Hatch/February 3 2011

Well, we ordered our little 3-egg mini-bator (looks more like a toy incubator LOL) and are waiting for it to arrrive. I figure it was delayed in shipping due to the holidays & that it'll come this week. As long as it shows up in time, we'll participate in this one, as well! We thought we'd try a small-scale hatch with this mini before we go all out and buy a big bator and a bunch of equipment, etc. DH is building us a nifty little brooder for the babies.

I think I have been overcome by chicken math. This was supposed to be 2, maybe 3 little backyard chickens. We presently have 6, with a minorca hen coming soon and 2 wellie babies, plus fixin' to join our first BYC hatch!

I had Wellies the last hatch but all died in shell. Wish I could find some for this also.

Good to see more people joining.

I'm in for this one. I will have a small few of my own eggs for it. I may make a trip to Phoenix to hit a TJs by then and try that. I'll have to stack a little bit though as I have some set that will be about 4 days from going to lockdown at that point. You all are such a bad influence on me and I love it

I will just be starting school again on the 17th, so yeah, we will have to poke each other on the homework/study time.
