I can't wait until the 13th because I have eggs due here today or tomorrow & can't be sure they're all fresh, so they need to go in with some local eggs on Thursday at the latest. I'll be a week ahead of you but will join if that's okay?
I officially have 63 eggs to pick up tomorrow! One seller (whom I bought my rooster from last year) is selling me 15 BR eggs and 2 dozen RIR eggs for a grand total of $6.25 and a man I got some beautiful cochins from is selling me 2 dozen brown leghorn eggs for a total of $4.00. My "egg budget" (since I buy locally) was 10.00 but when I found out I could literally FILL my incubator for a quarter more, I went for it.

Gotta love a sale!!!!!!!!
I would like to try the Trader Joes eggs, but the nearest store is just over an hour away. BUT....while out today at Dollar General, I saw that they sell farm fresh eggs. The address on the carton says they are in VA. So I am thinking to try them out. Can't hurt! They are only $1.85. And I will have plenty of room for them since I only planned to incubate my own eggs this round.
My biggest problem is that everyone who sells hatching eggs here is on the extreme east coast, and I am in CA. I just posted on FB for hatching eggs WEST of the Mississippi.
