I'm trying to get the Egg Train moving along better. Would be nice to be able to bypass the PO for this hatch!

We can never let a bad hatch stop us from achieving a better one. I lost one of my 4 ducklings today, so my lousy hatch is at 3 and I am thankful they are thriving. Wobbling at me on their skinny legs and big feet.

I hope to have enough of my own eggs to set, because my last hatch I got the most beautiful thing: A yellow bird speckled with black and the feathers are coming in and the black is still there! I love it!

I can offer a Gift Certificate for 12 hatching eggs redeemable at Kasey's Poultry. This certificate can be cashed for hatching eggs in the Spring(possibly for the Easter Hatch). Breeds and Prices for this are listed on my site(in my Signature).

Now to think of some sort of Contest or Something.

BigDaddy'sGurl :

WOOOO HOOOO!!! UPDATE on my "egg hunt"!!

I officially have 63 eggs to pick up tomorrow! One seller (whom I bought my rooster from last year) is selling me 15 BR eggs and 2 dozen RIR eggs for a grand total of $6.25 and a man I got some beautiful cochins from is selling me 2 dozen brown leghorn eggs for a total of $4.00. My "egg budget" (since I buy locally) was 10.00 but when I found out I could literally FILL my incubator for a quarter more, I went for it.

I wish I could get fertile eggs that cheap here. Good luck with all those, you could be over run with chicks soon!

That would be awesome. There are not many BYC'ers in my area, but I know of two others that have become my friends. I am sure we would ALL welcome eggs. Especially Noseychickens - her hubby is a BAD enabler.
