She's happy-chirping when you play with her. Just make sure she's not cold. I have a lonely lady that's waiting for her siblings too and she loves to play. So play with your chick. Play, play, play. Make sure she has some toys (teddy bears, roosters, mirrors, food traps etc.). If she's under three days old I'd give her pencils to stand on. Older put a small rooster in her brooder. Just play with her. Have her follow your fingers, eat out of your hand. And stay with her, you don't have to play with her necessarily just be in the room with her. Let her see you -take comfort in your presence.
I have my brooder in front of my bed and I made a door on it there's a 'fence' so if I open her door she can't go anywhere. I give her food and let her play, occasionally putting my fingers down as company. Make some sort of play area or clean the floor and let her run. Just listen to her. If she starts to chirp loudly, shiver, limp, tire etc. put her in her brooder immediately. Remember; chicks die fast and often for small stupid reasons.
