Hi there:
My 3 & 4 month old chix jumped the fence and I was gone so my neighbors on both sides ran them back. Got home and ran them into the hen house. Now, the question, how do I clip the wings to keep them from doing that? Thanks for your help.

There's plenty of pages on wing clipping, just do a search. However, just a warning, if your birds are Leghorns or bantams or other "light" breeds, clipping their wings won't stop them from simply jumping up onto 4, 5, even 6' high fences.

It is pretty easy to clip wings, just need a good pair of scissors. We just clip one on our gold comets, it gets them off balance enough they can't fly over the fence. Cochins are so fat they don't need it!

Clipping the wings of baby chicks will not keep them in there pen. You said they are jumping. Clipping wings keeps birds from flying off not jumping. You will need to put a cover/netting over the top of your pen or build a taller fence.
