Chocolate Gravy over Biscuits

I enjoyed it, but hubby just couldn't grasp the concept of good baking powder biscuits with chocolate on them. Oh well.
More for me!

He did compliment the gravy as being nice and thick and of wonderful creamy consistency.

THANK YOU, For the moment.Childhood memories.
My Dad just passed in July.
He would make this after we got home from Wed. night bible study. We all got a large cereal bowl full of it. Then ate till we couldn't eat no more and in the morning there would be all of our (5 girls) bowls in the fridge lined up we ate it the next morning for breakfast before school.

A good friend told me about this when my boys were young. I made it for them on weekends. Think I liked it a lot more than they did; they would always say to my mom when she offered them cookies, "Do you have any real food?"

OMG! I ain't had that since my step-grandmother, Annie Slaughter, the world's best cook, made it for me along with about a dozen other things for breakfast every morning when I was a kid. She and my two uncles who were my age lived up the road from my grandmother in Hestand, Kentucky. Sure do miss her.
Thanks for the recipe. I saved it as a word document.

My grandmother use to make this for the grandkids anytime we visited. After she passed away, my mother began making it. Last time I was home, I got the family recipe and I've made it for my girls and their friends. Always a surprised look the first time someone is served chocolate for breakfast.
