Hey Fellow Brethren, let us keep to the original spirit of this post - "which translations speak to you best?"

Authenticity of translations are debated ad nauseum on theological threads, and I for one would rather not go there.

i'll restart....i like the NIV as stated before, but i do reference many other versions. keep my dictionary and concordances handy.

You asked me a question. I would usually not approach this subject within BYC, but you asked.

I don't believe in religion. There is One God who created heaven and earth. He created man to dwell on the earth and man listened to Satan rather than God. God then cursed man for acting like he was as good as his creator. But out of love, God provided a savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the sin of the world. No one will make it to God except through him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Am I saying there is only one religion? no, there are many religions. There is just one truth that will set things right with God and Jesus is that truth.

As there are many denominations, there are many bibles, and philosophies. I said before there is one God who is all powerful and who is able to give words which are inspired, and who is able to preserve those words thorough a multiplicity of copies in the final form, KJV, without error.
