Christmas should not be stressful. I can't understand why people get so stressed.

I always heard thta it's "The most wonderful time of the year......."

It isnt stressful if you remember why we are celebrating it...

Remember the little drummer boy...
all he had to give was his talent...

keep counting my boy will be home

Acre of Blessings...........absolutely love that name!!!

Already bought some presents:
1. Winter gloves WITH wrist bands (for DH)
2. Sweater socks w/treads for 3 DD's
3. Battery/plug/crank Radio-flashlight (for DH)

Painting enclosed porch this weekend, so we can start hanging lights. (We'll wait until after Halloween to plug them in.) Bought 3 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper at Dollar General--last JULY! (Didn't really need any more. I store it pretty well, so we never ever run out with any last minute wrapping.)

I am looking for on-sale PRACTICAL gifts this year. How about the rest of you?

I went and baked some Gingerbread, had a cup of coffee, and cleaned the bathroom (so I could take care of kitty stuff).

I was thinking, I ought to take some pics of my favorite ornaments and post them.

Does anyone have a special ornament with a story? (none of mine really have stories, I just got ones I loved the shape or look of).

I've been getting excited about Christmas, also. I made my gift lists today. I've bought a few things for each daughter and the movie Annie for them to share. I don't have a lot of people to buy for. Figured we'd make a calendar of the kids for the Grandparents. And baked goods and jams for everyone else. Oh, and I do have to get a little something the hubby (we don't spend much on each other, though). I love the Christmas season!!!

I've been eyeing the baking stuff, also. I have quite a bit (I grab it on sale throughout the year when I see it) which is how I happened to have the Gingerbread materials on hand

I need to take inventory so I know what I need next time I go into town.

btw - I snuck a nativity - a small one - out today while I was cleaning house. Hubby hasn't noticed it yet
