Christmas always comes too fast, it seems. No matter when you start getting ready. Right now I'm figuring out lists of what to get people, and helping people decide what to get my husband. I can always do the cop out of clothes that he needs, so I give the "better" gift ideas to family. Then I have to figure out what is going out to people from my daughter. That's the tough part. She's two, but we always have a gift from her to the grandparents and to her daddy. (Yes, she does give me gifts too, but I'm the primary one that does the thinking like this)
The main problem I'm going to have this year is getting my MIL's gift ready. She has a ton of random recipes all laying around in a drawer. I have a Recipe Book making utility on my computer that my husband made, and I'd like to get them all into a book for her. The problem is, how do I get all of them without her knowing? I'm thinking a "nap" on Thanksgiving is going to be needed. I'm pregnant, so I can pull that off. While everyone is at the other house (three houses on the same farm) I can go up and start making copies.
Oh, and we're starting to figure out Christmas at the church as well. We always have the kids' program on Christmas Eve, so we're getting that ready. Well, at least as to who will have what part and figuring out the songs.
