I just had some hot cocoa with a candy cane this afternoon...
and that may or may not have been the inspiration of the egg's name...

I thought about it, but then I thought what if it makes it and she's got a chicken named Grinch someday? I couldn't be so cruel.

Here are the eggies snuggly tucked into their incubator! The temperature seems wonderfully stable, the lowest I've seen is 99.5, highest is 100. I have both water basins full, and fully open, vent is closed to the minimum, and the humidity is low 40s so it looks like I'll have a challenge during lockdown. Opposite problem as my July hatch when the ambient humidity in the house was in the 50s already.

Any Brinsea users with tips and tricks? At this point I have it set at 99.6 and turning every 45 min.

I have one of those and had opposite issues at first with keeping the humidity down so I took those sponge things out of both ends. Then it went down to 45/50 which is where I wanted it. I've run it for several batches without those sponges in and it seems okay that way.

I never hatched in mine though as I always had multiple batches in there so 3 days ahead I would transfer the ones due to hatch to the NR360 with the turner rack out and a rubber shelf liner mat in it.

Yours seems like it's doing great!

I need to start proof reading my typing, this phone autocorrents them to then, and to ans, it has some REALLY annoying quirks that add to my typing too fast without proofing
