Autumn sighed and rolled her eyes. She removed her rabbit meat from the heat and took one of her knives to cut it open and do a visual check to see if it was done. The meat wasn't pink anymore. She cut off a piece and popped it in her mouth.

Beatrix tutted, "Well-done? Girl, I don't wanna go to your parties." She lifted her pink-centered slice of rabbit, "Medium, at least."

Autumn shrugged and looked at Beatrix. "Cooking wild animals thoroughly kills pathogens and bacteria."

 

[Gertrude McFuzz]

Beatrix whipped around, "Did you seriously just say that? What are you? A health professor?"

(Sorry i haven't been responding, my brain was not functioning correctly, i decided not to make myself look crazy on the internet.)\
Cable looked at them both, slightly confused, maybe he hadn't seen the entire conversation..... or Autumn was just warning everyone to cook the meat thoroughly? He mentally shrugged He didn't like eating raw meat anyway.

"I'm just not stupid." Autumn said, getting up and sitting next to Elisha, who was eating his well done rabbit.

Tryst gagged and turned a delicate shade of green. But he held his skewer over the fire and tried to think happy thought. Beatrix wasn't helping. The closed his eyes tight and waited till his meal was thouroughly cooked.

Silva laughed and blew a little flame off her rabbit. "I like mine charred on the outside jucy on the inside. Ahh, perfection! " she picked up another skewer with cooked meat and carried it over to Elisha. She coughed to get his attention and tried not to look awkward. " Hey. You want some more? There is plenty left." Silva smiled at him and tried really hard to push her concern and distrust to the back of her mind. " There is a chill in the wind...the fire is really nice. Why don't you come over and join us? You are part of the group too, you know."

Cable looked at Elisha. "Silva is right you know. We need to stick together." Then he fell silent. He looked into the coals of the fire, still licking with flame. He didn't know why but it comforted him.

Silva looked at Cable. She didn't quite know what to think about him...but he seemed sad. Maybe the incident earlier was simply an aftershocks from when he hit his head. She didn't know...but she hopped he would be okay. She turned back to Elisha a smile still plastered on her face. She raised an eyebrow in question.
