City of Ashes RP ~~Players Needed~~

"Right...." He said to Alexis, slightly ashamed he hadn't thought about that. He sat back down with a sigh. "I really don't like feeling useless." He admitted somewhat sheepishly. He looked at the fire again, mostly just glowing coals at this point. Flickering and changing. I like controlled fires. He decided.
"I don't think anyone does" Alexis said softly. She smiled gently when she realized Leah had fallen asleep on her shoulder.

Garret returned to the clearing and sat down across from Cable, watching the fire quietly.

Silva felt tears prick her eyes as guilt hit her in waves. How could she have been so thoughtless? She should have tried harder. She should have said something different.
But she could do nothing to make this right...could she?
How could she go back with this on her conscience? How could she tell the others...Autumn that she had failed to bring back Elisha?
She gritted her teeth and hung her head. She could no give up now simply because he got his feelings hurt. Okay fine. He had refused her peace. He had refused her apology. Now for something different. It would be hard to track him through the dense dark underbrush of the forest, but she was determined to try. Crouching, moving as swiftly and silently as she could, she moved towards where Elisha had run.
It wasn't as hard as she had thought. He had been angry and hurt as he ran away. He had not tried to be subtle and his tracks were fairly obvious.
She came up behind him and softly put her had on his shoulder. A risk and a show of vulnerability she knew...but she knew the only way to get him back was to prove to him that he was needed.
"Elisha." she said firmly and without the tones that might have once been taken as pity. "You have been treated wrongly and have every right to leave now. You are under a lot of pressure...that much is clear by the way you hold yourself, but everyone except Autumn shunned you. I am not here to beg you to give us another chance. Nor am I here to offer you any more forms of condolences. I don't think that is what you really want. I am here to prove that you are an important part of this...whatever this is. You lead us to the lake, helped guide us to the city, and seem to know and deal with people well. Please, Elisha...do not hold what Beatrix said to everyone. You heard what Cable and Charlie said. Garret too! And Autumn...she has accepted you before anyone else. You cannot leave. Think about the consequences." She had said this very quickly so that he could not interrupt her. And she situated herself so that he could not run any further, her eyes gleaming.
"I will ask once more if you will take my word that you will be treated the way you should have been. I will not chase after you again if you really want to leave. It is your decision...your choice. If you can find it in you to forgive me of my part in excluding you..."

Trystan looked at Beatrix and bit his lip. He didn't want to get in a fight but he didn't like what he saw.
"Hey, you know that wasn't the nicest thing...or the smartest...you could have done. You shouldn't have been so rude, Beatrix. I don't care about the small things but telling Elisha that when he was obviously hurt was just cruel." Tryst held her intense gaze for a moment and then looked away, unable to stand up to her any longer. Way to go genius...that was a big mistake. You should'a just kept your head down and minded your own business.

Beatrix shrugged, "Yeah, yeah. My only regret is that he's so touchy. Now I have to keep an eye out to make sure he doesn't come kill me in my sleep. Anyway, I don't hold back my opinions Charlie. Tryst, I don't do nice either. Now shut up and eat your bunny."

Tryst frowned deeper as Beatrix spoke, what she had said annoyed him. But then something happened that shocked him. Literally. A small electric charge so small he barely noticed it traveled up his arms and through his hair. It was so small that he had to reassure himself that it had actually happened. It had not hurt...it felt like a feather tickling up his arms, smooth and soft. But it had defiantly been a shock. He jumped slightly and looked down quickly. He hoped nobody ha noticed...it had been so weird.

"Made your the one we should have scared off." She muttered, almost wishing it had been Beatrix that left and not Elisha. He had been the first one to accept her into the group, while everyone else pointed knives at her and threatened her. So, she was feeling really bad about him running off. She took a bite of the meat. "Plus, you can't make assumptions an day everyone didn't trust him. Not everyone agrees with you... And have you ever thought that maybe nobody trust you either?" She said.

Beatrix laughed, "Yeah, I know. I'm a jerk. I'm insensitive. I've heard it all before." Icy fear gripped her and her eyes widened. Memory! She could feel her consciousness slipping away from her. Blackness stood on the edges of her vision. She had to fight the faint, control it, or likely as not it would happen while she was fighting. One hand shot out and grabbed a branch to keep herself up. Come on Beatrix. Mind over memory faint. As she fought to stay awake a sick feeling began in her gut. She began to hyperventilate. "Memory faint." she gasped out, trying to explain, "Trying to fight it." She was sweating now, and her vision was hazy. Her heart was beating like a rabbit's. Rage seared through her at the thought that she couldn't control herself. The black in her vision turned red. She lost her grip on the branch and crumpled, pale, clammy, feverish, unconscious and breathing shallowly.
