Carson folded his arms, agitated. "Great, we lost the others. THANKS WORLD." he yelled. Nina, who stood next to him, giggled. "Calm down Carson! There's sure to be someone around here!

Aspen froze as she heard the last sentence. She looked around wildly, as if expecting people to jump out of the trees at any second. she tried to have an outward look of calm as she bent herself backwards, Relieving a few sore muscles. But realized too late she had given herself away when she jumped like a cat.

Carson stiffened. "Who's there!" He yelled demandingly. "Carson, calm down, your going to scare them!" Nina said, placing a hand on his arm. "Hello?" She called out softly. "I don't bite, but I can't promise anything about Carson..." Carson shot a glare at her. "Thanks Nina, I'm pretty sure you just made them a hundred times more comfortable around us!" He growled sarcastically.

Aspen was actually incredulous and a little amused. Possibly, the tiniest tiniest bit grateful that she hadn't screwed up her chances with the only people here. "Yes no biting please." She laughed, they were arguing like siblings, which that in itself had made her 100 times more comfortable around them.
(Her mutation is being able to bend her bones the wrong way ;) in case you didn't already know.)

Carson rolled his eyes at Aspen's comment, but Nina stepped forward. "Hi, I'm Nina, and this is Carson the grouch." She said happily. "Nina..." Carson said in a dangerous tone.

"No. Idea." Replied Carson. "Well maybe we could find some sighns!" Nina suggested. "Yeah, those probably got whiped out with the rest of the town" Carson said.
