So, now that the roomie has left, I get to clean her bathroom. Can we say, YUCK!!

Anywho, I have a whole cabinet full of chemicals. But was hoping for a more "green" approach. I have, blackish mold, soap scum and something pink and slimy. I have chemicals to indivually take care of this mess, but don't want to asphixiate myself. My microwave also stinks like her frozen stuffed pepper dinners. Anything I can do about the smell? I have cleaned it good with 409 but it still has that funky smell.

I would try leaving baking soda in the microwave when not in use until the aroma leaves. Nuking white vinegar/water mix might speed things up.
As far as the bathroom....I would go with an all out attack and save green for future cleanings. Just what I would do.

Thanks, I'll try the vinegar and water. Didn't help it had splattered all over the top. She was always complaining WE were gross and dirty, but after I saw what had been hidden behind her umpteen million bottles of shampoo, face cleaners and body scrubs, ewwww!!

White Vinegar will work wonders on the bathroom, so will a 50-50 mix of bleach and hot water in a spray bottle. Just spray it on and let it set a while to let them do their jobs.

I would break out the bleach and water for the bathroom, ew. Once the mold and mildew are gone you should try Seventh Generation, we love their brand of cleaning products!

Oh how I feel for you.
Our housemate was like that YUCK.
When I finally kicked him out I couldnt look at the room he had been using for a month. When I finally did.... ewwwwww. I opened the windows wide and let the room breath for a week before I went in with bleach water, contractors bags, several mops and a broom.
I found cups, glasses, plates and utensils under the bed that looked like a science project. I threw out more than HALF of MY STUFF! Everything missing was under his bed.

You know, she kept her room pretty tidy. She has a German Shepard that stayed in at night so she vacuumed her room every weekend. She was always saying things about cleaning her bathroom and how she did it more than I cleaned ours. Maybe she missed a few spots.
